End of the Line

Just had the worst phone call – Ever!

Wythenshawe Hospital just called to say that I won’t be undergoing any more tests as I am not a suitable candidate for a Transplant.

The Osteoporosis in my spine is too bad to go any further.  End of the line.

Apart from the devastation I feel right now facing a life without hope, I don’t know what I can do.

I don’t have an appointment to see my Doctor here until October, so I will just have to carry on.

A life without hope.  Not a great prospect facing the rest of my life like this.

Maybe this Blog will end right here.  I don’t see what else I can add.  Maybe if you are in this situation, you could start where I have finished and tell your story.  I will certainly add Your blog link here for others to follow.

Lorna, so sorry to hear the news. I can appreciate how devastating you feel right now. We were at the same point when Bob was told that he was not a canidate for a liver transplant. His liver is 80% gone.
We have accepted the fact that we live life one day at a time and evey day to the fullest we are able.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and hope that you keep us up to date with what is going on in your life.
We are here for you and if there is anything we are able to help you with, we certainly will, even if it is just an avenue to to chat and provide support emotionaly.

  2. oh lorna, i am absolutely devestated with the hospital’s notification. it’s not as if you have MS, or cancer. people (like my mother) can live for many, many years with osteo.
keeping this journal up-to-date will keep your friends close by you in spirit.
you may also reach out and touch someone in similar circumstances.
i keep you in my daily prayers. i love you !
